Team

Patrick Derham

Patrick is one of the UK’s most highly regarded educationalists having served as Head Master of Westminster School (2014-20), Rugby School (2001-14) and Solihull School (1996-2001). Passionate about widening access, Patrick set up the Arnold Foundation for Rugby School in 2003, which provides a boarding education at Rugby to disadvantaged children and was instrumental in setting up the SpringBoard Bursary Foundation, a new national charity closely modelled on the Arnold Foundation. Patrick chairs the Board of Trustees of Gladstone's Library, the UK’s only Prime Ministerial Library, and is involved in a wide range of charities. In 2018, Patrick was awarded an OBE for his services in education.

Russell Foltz-Smith

Russell mentors several start ups and is an OpenAI Developer Ambassador. Over a 20+ year period Russell worked on many internet scale knowledge platforms such as Wolfram Alpha delivering innovation and a few exits from acquisitions to IPOs. Russell's experience includes key leadership roles with TrueCar, WolframAlpha, Citysearch/IAC, Business.com, AlphaMediaGroup, GrindNetworks. Russell is co-founder of Titan Space and Acton Academy Venice Beach. He studied mathematics and theater at University of Chicago and currently resides in Marina Del Rey, CA where you can find him y, coding, writing, businessing and/or watching his daughters grow up.

Jim Larimore

Jim Larimore is the co-founder of EdSafe AI Alliance, was the Chief Equity Officer of the ACT, the Director of Postsecondary Success for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Dean of Student Affairs at Stanford University, Dean of Dartmouth College and sits on a number of boards. An inspirational education leader, Jim is focussed on closing gaps in equity and student success by leveraging innovative AI technologies to improve education.

Paul Butcher

Paul Butcher is a veteran AI/ML CTO with an early exit of Swiftkey (predictive keyboard) to Microsoft in 20XX). Paul also sold Elixer an English language learning NLP platform to Cambridge University Press. Paul xx xx xx. Besides coaching our tech team to push the boundaries and race ahead of the industry technically, Paul loves racing Formula One cars.

Will Orr-Ewing

Will is co-founder of Keystone Tutors, one of the UK’s leading tutoring agencies with offices in Hong Kong andyy Singapore. Prior to Keystone, Will taught history at a London preparatory school. Will is a trustee of Westside Free School in London, and is on the boards of the Harrow Association and the Tutoring Association. He also co-runs a website on learning difficulties called dysTalk. Will read History at Oxford University.

Josh Pull

Josh is co-founder of Keystone Tutors, one of the UK’s leading tutoring agencies with offices in Hong Kong and Singapore. Prior to Keystone, Josh worked in investment banking. He also co-runs a website on learning difficulties called dysTalk. Josh read History at Oxford University.

Donna Matovinovic

Donna brings over 30 years of experience designing high quality curricula and assessments for over 30 US states and 10 countries. She was SVP and ACT. She has successfully implemented AIG (automatic item generation) in two large testing companies. Her subject expertise is in mathematics.
